The 7-Day Metabolic Health Starter Plan

One small, doable habit a day for a week. No special foods, no gym, no calorie counting.

Your 7-Day Metabolic Health Starter Plan
  • One small, doable step each day for a week. No special foods, no gym and no calorie counting.
  • Each step targets blood sugar, cholesterol, liver fat or weight, the core of metabolic health.
  • Keep yesterday’s step as you add today’s. By day 7 you will have a simple routine and a plan for week 2.

Big changes rarely last. Small ones, repeated daily, do. This plan gives you one habit a day, explains why it matters and links to a deeper guide if you want to learn more. Print it, screenshot it or keep this page open on your phone.

Day 1: Cut added sugar in drinks

Swap sweetened tea or coffee, soft drinks and juice for water, unsweetened tea, coffee or buttermilk. Liquid sugar raises blood sugar fast and adds liver fat. Why sugar matters for your liver.

Day 2: Add fiber to two meals

Add a bowl of dal, chana, rajma, vegetables or a whole fruit to lunch and dinner. Aim for 25–30 g of fiber a day. Easy fiber sources.

Day 3: Walk after meals

Take a 10-minute walk after your largest meal. Working muscles pull sugar out of the blood. The walking-after-meals guide.

Day 4: Put protein on every plate

Include eggs, curd, paneer, tofu, dal, fish or chicken at each meal: about a palm-sized portion. It keeps you full and steadies blood sugar. Check your protein needs.

Day 5: Build a better breakfast

Protein plus fiber plus a small portion of whole grain: a besan chilla with curd, eggs and vegetables, or Greek yogurt with nuts and berries. 12 breakfast ideas.

Day 6: Protect your sleep

Set a fixed wake-up time, put screens away 30 minutes before bed and have your last coffee by early afternoon. Even a few nights of short sleep make insulin work less well. Build a sleep routine.

Day 7: Make your personal plan

Check your numbers with our free Metabolic Health Score, pick the two habits that felt easiest this week and keep them for the next 30 days. Then choose your next guide on the Start Here page.
